RESOLUTION 07-34

While work continues on the improvement project at the Clarence Black Water Plant, the need to clean and paint one of the water tanks has become imperative to the proper completion of this project.  Estimated costs were obtained and were found to be in excess of public bidding requirements.  At this point, valuable construction time would be lost in the bidding process. Ohio Revised Code Section 735.051 specifies emergency conditions to obviate formal bidding and advertising for contracts in the operation and maintenance of the department of public service.  This resolution authorizes the City Manager to execute a contract with Rural Water Storage LLC, Fostoria, Ohio 44830, in the amount of $56,000 for the cleaning and painting of a 250,000 gallon storage clear well tank at the Clarence Black Water Plant.
