CLERK'S JOURNAL OF A SPECIAL MEETING

OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EATON, OHIO,

HELD IN COMMISSION CHAMBERS OF THE PREBLE COUNTY COURTHOUSE,

AT 1:30 P.M., ON WEDNESDAY, MAY 12, 2004



Mayor Robert Stonecash called to order a special meeting of Eaton City Council on Wednesday, May 12, 2004, at 1:30 p.m., in Commission Chambers of the Preble County Courthouse. This is a joint meeting with the Preble County Commissioners who were in session. The Deputy Clerk called the roll and found the following to be:

                        Present: Dave Kirsch

                                        Ben Maffett

                                        Gary Wagner, Vice Mayor

                                        Robert Stonecash, Mayor

                        Absent: Joe Renner

Also in attendance were Preble County Commissioners Stanley Spencer, David Wesler and Gene Krebs, County Administrator Ken Moreland, City Manager Dave Daily, Finance Director Leslie Renner and Law Director Donnette Fisher.

 

Topics of discussion included: Update on the Walmart development; the Poggemeyer study to be received soon; ongoing plans for the vitality of Downtown Eaton and possibly viewing Greenville's plan to maintain their downtown; OGDC funding for the director position; detachment relating to annexations over the years to Preble County villages and the City of Eaton; and, an update on the Commissioners' remodeling projects.

 

ADJOURN

Councilman Maffett moved to adjourn the meeting. Councilman Wagner seconded the motion which passed as follows:

                Ayes: Kirsch, Maffett, Wagner, Stonecash (4)

                Nays: None (0)
