CLERKS JOURNAL OF A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE COUNCIL OF THE

CITY OF EATON, OHIO, HELD IN COUNCIL CHAMBERS OF THE

MUNICIPAL BUILDING, AT 8:30 A.M., ON FRIDAY, JANUARY 9, 2004

Mayor Robert Stonecash called to order a special meeting of Eaton City Council on Friday, January 9, 2004, in Council Chambers of the Municipal Building, at 8:30 a.m. The Deputy Clerk called the roll and found the following to be:

Present: Joseph Renner

Ben Maffett

Gary Wagner, Vice Mayor

Robert Stonecash, Mayor

Absent: David Kirsch

City Manager Dave Daily was also in attendance.

EXECUTIVE SESSION

Councilman Renner moved to adjourn to executive session for the purpose of discussing personnel matters with the City Manager, the Law Director and the Engineer/Director of Service and Greg Frost invited. Councilman Wagner seconded the motion which passed as follows:

Ayes: Renner, Maffett, Wagner, Stonecash (4)

Nays: None (0)

Mayor Stonecash stated no action was taken during Executive Session. Councilman Renner moved to adjourn to regular session. The motion was seconded by Councilman Wagner and passed as follows:

Ayes: Renner, Maffett, Wagner, Stonecash (4)

Nays: None (0)

HIRE PUBLIC MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR

Councilman Maffet moved to concur with the City Manager=s decision to hire Greg Frost as the City of Eaton=s Public Maintenance Supervisor. Councilman Renner seconded the motion. Councilman Renner stated that he has personally known Greg Frost for 20+ years and believes that he will be a good addition to the City staff. Mayor Stonecash thanked Councilman Renner for his involvement in this process. The motion passed as follows:

Ayes: Renner, Maffett, Wagner, Stonecash (4)

Nays: None (0)

ADJOURN

Councilman Renner moved to adjourn. Councilman Maffett seconded the motion which passed as follows:

Ayes: Renner, Maffett, Wagner, Stonecash (4)
